The New Joshi Pro Wrestling Promotion: Dream Star Fighting MariGold
Rossy starts his plans - and it starts in a shock.
Headline - Tokyo, Japan:
Rossy Ogawa, former booker and the creator of Stardom - has now built a new promotion.
Called Dream Star Fighting MariGold The company will have its first show in May.
As mention on The Republic of Sports Special reports with the split of Stardom, the several members of Stardom who have left - are now with the new company. The former Stardom rookie Yuzuki will have a new name (Victoria Yuzuki). They also added Nanae to the brand.
But, out of the blue and in one of the biggest shocks that will effect plans for certain Puroesu companies going forward - 6 of the major wrestlers from AWG - ActGirlsWrestlingZ as it called, have left the company and will join the new MariGold promotion.
If you also recalled from the Republic of Sports in the issues with AWG, Evolution Girls and All Japan Pro Wrestling, you would read up on the situations between Fukoda, president of AJPW and his dealings with AWG. Also we had an issue with Simon Inoki who acted as TKO Group: Sporting Productions Liaison into bringing Charlie Dempsey for a match against the once Triple Crown Champion of AJPW - Nakajima. After some tense meetings with the majority of his wrestlers that didnt leave over the issue, AJPW pretty much kept AWG and Evolution Girls, as seprate but equal partners in the Joshi Wrestling mileu.
However, that changed with Fuka, who helped build Stardom; joining this new group.
Rossy has mentioned that he is using is own funding for these shows. That they would be doing 8 shows a week.
The main event of the first match is a tag match. Gulia/X vs Saree/X That match will take place on 5/20 at the Hall. Before that, members of The MariGold Promotion will be on a NOAH show - Gulia, Utami, Mai, and MIRAI vs Takumi Iroha, Nagisa Nozaki, The Great Sakuya and Myuki Takase.
They have shown a training video with two rookies, names not known.
The Company is also is having a open call - women who are 13 years up to the age of 30 years. Those who are 18 to 30 have to be unmarried.
More details will be coming soon - but for some thoughts on the issues at hand and what this means for the wrestling business overall, look at the bottom for what matters
